Today the Loons Arrived

This morning I saw 4 loons in the distance and later was able to photograph these 2. They return in September and are here most of October. I saw them September 27 last year. In the spring they come by in April and May. I have an essay on loons elsewhere in this blog. I report there a few sightings through the winter. I am always happy to have ducks return in the Fall, especially the Loons.
