First Fall Ducks

This morning I saw 6 Eared Grebes. This is my first observation of ducks arriving here for the Fall. They are always the first to arrive. Last year I reported Grebes on September 15, so they are nice and early this year. I really miss my ducks during the summer and am delighted to have them returning. I also thought I heard a loon this morning. They also arrive in September but only stay through October. The Grebes will be with me all winter. Welcome back ducks!
