Canadian Geese

When I was photographing the Barrows Goldeneye the other day a flock of Canadian Geese floated into the picture. These are perhaps the most common visitor I see and along with Mallards tend to be ignored in my reported sightings. They are the only birds that are here all year long. But they are both very beautiful birds and are always a welcome sight. I usually see the geese in groups about this size but occasionally I see as many as 40 floating by. In the spring I see at least two sets of baby geese with a few other adults.
